I’m very interested in AR experiences and how this technology can be more seamlessly inserted into people’s lives. Here’s an example that I found that is pretty cool, but I think ultimately fails the test because it’s still a little disruptive.
It’s an AR/VR application that goes along with a children’s book and brings the story and illustrations to life. I think it’s beautiful and engaging but in the end I feel like it sort of ruins the experience of reading a story to a child because of the devices that come between the story and the experience of reading to a child.
There are probably better ways to utilize this and I’ll keep searching.
Here’s the case study: http://method.digital/case-studies/the-boy-and-the-lemon-ar-vr
