I love the Russian Construction design style and I’m fascinated by design from the Soviet Union. Designers from that time and place were living in a repressive society that did not even allow them to be known as designers. That was too individualistic for the government to tolerate. They were “artistic engineers”. Design in the USSR is a book that has hundreds of examples recently uncovered of product and advertising design during that era. I can’t wait to get this book.
