It appears I’m on a bit of a typography spree here. This is a mesmerizing animation by Pentagram, created as an invitation to the annual Architectural League of New York Ball. The theme is transformation and Pentagram created this type animation that shows the same lines transform letter by letter to spell the word Alchemy.
They could have just had one letter be the entire animation and it would have worked, but by having a grid of them with staggered timing, they have created a more interesting visual that really illustrated the changing forms.
