I often feel jaded when I see marketing campaigns that are beautiful or clever but don’t actually accomplish much more than catching my attention. Here’s a campaign that is much more impressive than that. Created by an Australian agency Host/Havas, this campaign actually combines creative with government and customs/immigration laws that were changed to work with it.
Palau is dependent on tourism for it’s economy, but the tourism also causes lots of environmental damage, even though it’s the environment that people come to see. This campaign aims to tackle that by getting tourists to sign a pledge stamped into their passports that they will treat the environment with care and respect.
