Old school interactive web design is coming back strong. This is an online quiz that educates people on new EU data privacy rights. They didn’t need to make this so designy, swoopy, and fun, but they did and it makes the experience more memorable(if not longer than it needs to be.) There are a lot of UI rules broken here, like no way to navigate or get back to the beginning, but who cares! it looks good and it’s fun to go through the experience.
A trend I’m noticing lately is the sacrifice of commonly held navigation rules and efficiencies for a more immersive experience. I’m all for it as long as it adds to the experience in a positive way.
