Lattex is a techno music festival and this is a pretty cool promotion site for it.
I didn’t choose this site because I think it’s flawless or great design, but there are a lot of interesting things about it and I think it’s indicative of some current trends I’m noticing. It’s immersive and on trend color and style-wise but it has some weaknesses. I feel like a lot of websites are throwing away the rules of UX/UI that have been strictly enforced for years. For example the only way to navigate the content is by scrolling. So it’s a completely linear experience. Also, it is pretty processor intensive, my computer started screaming as I was scrolling.
I’m not saying this is necessarily bad, it’s just different and a little jarring for someone who has been in the design world for so long.
