Time for another illustration post. It’s always a challenge for me to critique illustration because I am personally bad at it and don’t always understand why certain styles are popular. I’ve chosen this illustrator from Canada because I love her style and I see tons of influences melded together in her work. I like that her pieces are not all the same look. I see hints of Japanese anime, impressionism and surrealism all combined and I really like it. In fact, in the article linked below, she lists her influences and this list alone is worth saving as a resource. So many artists I’ve never heard of that can be used as inspiration!
