Domino’s Pizza, through it’s agency CP+B, has often been brilliant in creating mini-experiences through using technology in novel and entertaining ways. The trick they always pull off is pairing a strong idea with a strong execution. This example is very creative. The site allows users to create “applets” or mini apps that will automatically order dominos if a situation occurs. The situations range from normal to far fetched and each one is linked to a partner brand that is an expert in that field. For example – if it snows more than 4″ order dominos, is linked to Weather Underground. The idea is funny but the design and function is very good and it also shows us some practical applications of IoT and connected devices and services.
