I’ve been deep in project mode for my UX class so today I just want to write about something simple and not too technical. I found a photo series called “Beyond Heaven and Earth by photographer Sergey Bratishchev and I noticed a few things. Overall I like the feelings the images evoke – loneliness, melancholy, insignificance and the beauty of nature. I’d say there is a slight element of cheese with some of the poses and situations but they are enjoyable to look at. I think my key takeaway is that when you add a person into a scene, no matter how small, it really transforms the photo from a landscape to something much more conceptual. That’s something worth remembering.
